Jayanta Das

Mr Jayanta Das joined S-ILF in December 2024. Jayanta holds Master’s degree in Social Work from Dibrugarh University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Guwahati University. His educational background has helped him develop a deeper understanding of social issues, community development, and socio-economic challenges faced by communities.
Before joining S-ILF as a Program Officer for Assam, Tripura, and Meghalaya, he worked on a UNICEF-supported project focused on Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), where he gained experience in community awareness, communication strategies, and promoting positive behavioural changes. He also had the opportunity to work as a Mentor at Morigaon College under Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University and contribute as a team member with ‘Economic Development for Common People’, an NGO working in his home district of Morigaon, Assam. These experiences have strengthened his skills in community engagement and social development.
