Mr Ravi Singh
Mr Ravi Singh, started his career as a Lecturer of History in Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University after his Masters in History from St. Stephen’s College in 1975. He joined The Chartered Bank (now Standard Chartered Bank) in 1976. Since 2003, Mr Singh is with WWF India. He is the organisation’s current Secretary General & CEO. Prior to this appointment, he was the General Manager and Head, Multi National Corporates, Deutsche Bank, Mumbai.
Mr. Singh has had an abiding interest in the conservation of nature and has been involved in conservation related issues since 1976. He has been a member of several conservation organizations, which included WWF and the BNHS. As the head of WWF-India, the country’s largest conservation organization, Mr. Singh participates in national fora covering biodiversity and aspects of reducing human footprint.
Mr Singh, has played squash at national levels, is a keen traveller, a member of the Himalayan Club, and an avid reader. His other interests include Indian history, high altitude trekking, photography and natural history.
Mr Ravi Singh has assisted S-ILF in their strategic planning for the well-being of those affected by the disease.
