Mr Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu

Mr Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu is an Indian politician and has been India’s Sherpa to the G7 and G20. He has held important portfolios under various Indian governments like Minister of Civil Aviation, Railways, Commerce & Industry, Environment and Forests etc. Mr Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Since 1996, Mr Prabhu has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. He is also a Chancellor of Rishihood University.

Mr Prabhu has held several government and semi government positions, which includes the Chairmanship of Maharashtra State Finance Commission, Saraswat Co-operative Bank, Member of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Board, among others. He is a part of 16 global organizations and 9 strategic dialogues which include: Global Water Partnership, GLOBE, UK, World Economic Forum (WEF), Global Industries Council, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Strategic Dialogues, Asia Energy Forum, World Federation of UNESCO etc.
