Chief Executive Officer
Mr Gaurab Sen joined Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation as Head – Programmes in 2020. After two years of service in the organisation, he became the Chief Executive Officer of S-ILF in December 2022. He has more than two decades of experience in the development sector in India, which includes a short stint with the United Nations regional office in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr Sen has worked in different parts of India with various marginalised communities, such as persons with disabilities, Adivasis, women, survivors of human trafficking and persons affected by Leprosy and their families. He obtained his Master of Law (LL.M.) degree from Viadrina European University, Germany.
Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation works in more than 200 leprosy colonies in 17 states in India. Mr Sen regularly visits the leprosy colonies and developed close coordination with the community across India. His vision has helped S-ILF to decentralise its work and reach closer to the colonies.
